This month in hip- hop can best be described by the
article I attached to this blog post below. Make sure you check it out, and if you’re

With that being said, I would like to talk about the
kind of month February was for hip- hop music and culture. Kanye West drops
Yeezy II shoes with nike, Schoolboy Q drops his debut album “Oxymoron” and DMX
was set to fight Zimmerman in ‘Celebrity’ boxing match (I would not consider
Zimmerman any kind of Celebrity...).
Kanye is still on his godly ego trip and drops the sequel
to his Nike kicks ‘Yeezy II’, and they may just be the most quality thing the
man has had a hand in creating for quite some time; if you can afford them. Schoolboy Q drops his debut album and it does
very good in its first week! Q is part of TDE, the crew lead by: Kendrick Lamar
and the team as a whole is looking to differentiate themselves in the game with
an unorthodox flow and a style of beats not really heard before. There are some
really good tracks on this cd, so make sure you check it out because the dude
got talent! Zimmerman VS DMX was set to be the battle of the century, and it
was made quite clear by: DMX that he was holding nothing back; rather, he will
do anything to ‘kick the shit out of’ Zimmerman. In the end, the bought was
never aloud and we’re force to wonder just how badly Zimmerman would have got
stomped (sad face)…
